        Occasionally VWK will have older puppies or adult dachshunds that
will need to leave our kennel and be placed in good homes. These dogs often
have been treasured members of our group for quite some time. This happens
when a doxie is retired from the breeding program, determined to not
be a good fit for the showring or is just not happy in our general population
as a pack member. We want them to enjoy the best possible existence and so,
we look for special homes that will appreciate that they make a better pet than
buying a brand new puppy!
        These special placements will be dogs with complete health records and
up to date care and grooming. Knowing to go outside to potty, sleep in a crate, be left alone to entertain oneself, and walk on a leash are all accomplishments of these VWK dachshunds.

SaddleClub Peggy's Sandy Girl
our "Sandy"
will be offered to a loving home as
a dachshund companion once her
litter of 5 beautiful babies are raised.
She will be spayed before leaving VWK
and available for only the actual cost
of the surgery, post op medications
and a teeth-cleaning procedure.
Sandy would work best in a quiet
home as the only pet or with 1 other
calm animal. Sandy is 5 years old, has
been microchipped, crate trained,
up to date on all vaccinations and
is happiest when being held or
sitting on your lap.

Drake's Pixie Stix, MS
"Pickles" as we affectionately call her will be available to just the right home after her spay surgery.
She is 2 years old, active, fun and an
easy doxie to keep.
She will do well with other small dogs or children,although she would prefer to be your "one and only"!
Pickles will be available for only the actual cost of her spay surgery, approximately $275. If you are looking for a young adult dachshund to share your home, play with your kids or grandkids and be a great companion, Pickles is just right for you!
