Occasionally VWK will have older puppies or adult dachshunds that
will need to leave our kennel and be placed in good homes. These dogs often
have been treasured members of our group for quite some time. This happens
when a doxie is retired from the breeding program, determined to not
be a good fit for the showring or is just not happy in our general population
as a pack member. We want them to enjoy the best possible existence and so,
we look for special homes that will appreciate that they make a better pet than
buying a brand new puppy!
These special placements will be dogs with complete health records and
up to date care and grooming. Knowing to go outside to potty, sleep in a crate, be left alone to entertain oneself, and walk on a leash are all accomplishments of these VWK dachshunds.

Thor is one of my original 4 English Cream dachshunds. When I got Thor, he was a beautiful white puppy! He has matured into a terrific dog, keeping his very light color, however, he has gotten larger than I expected.
I have decided to offer Thor for sale, as an EC studdog (proven 07/2007) with Full AKC breeding rights for $500.00. His pedigree is on his page to view. It is impressive...with several Champions in both AKC and JKC. And lots of COLOR! Thor carries for English Cream, Chocolate, Piebald and Blue.
He is up to date on all vaccinations, including 3 yr. rabies. He is healthy,active and has an outgoing, friendly nature. He would be a terrific field trial or earthdog.
